Rich in history, adventure and natural beauty
Season: 5/1/2012 to 10/1/2012
Bear Cave Resort is a wonderful place for individuals and families to come and experience the great outdoors, meet new people and relax. Bear Cave has the only naturally formed caves in the State of Michigan. This cave has a lot of history surrounding its use connecting to the Underground Railroad, the silent movie and The Great Train Robbery. There is also a Conference Tree here, used by the Potawatomi Indian braves as a lookout point to see approaching enemies coming down the river. There is wildlife passing through, and some making residence in our park!
Bear Cave Resort is basically a peaceful, fun park. We offer a pool, hot tub, a lodge which includes arcade room, pool table, ping pong table, lounging area, movie room and card room. We have horseshoe pits, volleyball and basketball courts, shuffleboard, 2 playgrounds, laundry
facilities and bath house, all along the St. Joseph River where there is lots of fishing. You can fish along the bank or you can rent our row boats and fish on the river. There are fun activities scheduled for every weekend until the end of our season. Our activities are mainly focused on family fun in a safe, friendly environment. The staff at Bear Cave Resort will try to make your stay here as pleasant as possible. Our Pavilion is available to rent for your special events and celebrations.
