It's hog heaven! Bike Week is a Daytona Beach tradition dating back to 1937. What started then as the inaugural running of the Daytona 200 has transformed into a 10-day festival that expands throughout Volusia County. There are hundreds of events for locals, visitors and motorcycle enthusiasts to enjoy.
Enjoy Music The Bandshell, with seating of 4,000, opened with a bang on July 4,1937 sharing front page with headlines of Amelia Earhart�s disappearance and a picture of the Dionne quintuplets. A record crowd of 25,000 was on hand in the city for motorcycle races on the beach, a baseball game in the ballpark, a parade on Beach Street, and the Bandshell Concert. The festivities continued onJuly 5th with another parade, and Bandshell activities including the Municipal Band, bathing beauty contest, vaudeville and boardwalk carnival dance. �Miss Daytona Beach of 1937� was crowned on stage at the Bandshell at 11:00 PM. For decades, it stood at the center of Downtown Daytona Beach.

Two Wheel Thunder of Motorcycles America's top amateur and expert riders will battle for four days on the Speedway's 3.56-mile road course in Championship Cup Series and Formula USA events. Top riders such as Michael Barnes, Mike Ciccotto, Eric Wood, Chris Ulrich and Steve Rapp are part of a stellar group of professional riders expected to be on hand. Outside of the Speedway, motorcycle enthusiasts can ride the latest motorcycles from top manufactures such as Honda, Yamaha, Harley-Davidson, Suzuki and Kawasaki.
