The Texas Air Museum is one of the few remaining aviation and historic museums to have full on-site restoration facilities. Visitors can tour the work
shop areas and see some of the restorations in progress. The Museum is staffed entirely by volunteers, many from the ranks of retirees and "Winter Texas" who make the Rio Grande Valley home for all or part of the year. These volunteers are enthusiastic about sharing their skills and knowledge in the hope that the ability to preserve history will be passed down to younger generations.
